**This will be a DV Court case for scheduling purposes.** On 12/11/25, Deputy Fildes took a report from T. E. G. (hereinafter "Victim") regarding a delayed domestic assault report. Victim [NAME REDACTED] incidents that occurred between her and her ex- boyfriend. Victim's ex-boyfriend was identified to be JESSE DANIEL BOETTNER [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter referred to as Defendant. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on 4/28/24, she had been living with the Defendant and he was acting erratically. An argument ensued when the Victim [NAME REDACTED] didn't want to be in a relationship with him anymore.
The Defendant reacted by pulling out a handgun, pointed it at the Victim [NAME REDACTED] at the Victim's pet turkey. Defendant started screaming that he was going to kill the Victim's turkey, which caused her great distress since she had raised the turkey since he was a chick. Defendant has a history of using the Victim's love of her animals against her during arguments. Defendant continued to threaten to shoot the turkey unless the Victim showed him where the cameras were located in her residence.
Once she did, he deleted any footage of himself threatening the Victim [NAME REDACTED]. The following day (4/29/24), the Victim recorded some additional arguments that the Defendant and Victim [NAME REDACTED] incident. In the recording, the Defendant says he wasn't "actually going to shoot your turkey" but that he has killed "thousands of turkeys." Defendant also makes the statement that it is normal for people to pull guns out during arguments. This recording was taken into evidence. Victim also disclosed a prior incident of abuse that occurred on 5/11/24. Victim explained that the argument began when she wanted to discuss the prior incident involving her turkey.
During the argument, the Victim [NAME REDACTED]. In the recorded conversation the Defendant can be hard making disparaging statements toward the Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Later that same day (5/11/24), Victim [NAME REDACTED] from the Defendant. She fled from the house and was running across the front gravel yard when she fell down. Defendant positioned himself over her, tried to grab her phone, and ripped out a chunk of the Victim's hair and injured her arm. Victim took photographs of the chunk of hair that was ripped out of her head as well as the bruises that developed from the assault.
These photographs were provided to law enforcement.
