Probable Cause
Your Complainant is a Deputy with the Steele County Sheriff's Office. On April 4th, 2026, Brett Willis Warner [DOB REDACTED] was taken into custody for an active warrant from the State of Iowa. On April 1st, 2026, an Aggravated Misdemeanor Warrant was issued for Brett Willis Warner from Clay County, Iowa, for 1st Degree Harassment. The State of Iowa indicated that it would pursue the extradition of Brett Willis Warner if not waived. Complainant has reasonable ground to believe that Brett Willis Warner is the person described in the documents received from the State of Iowa and is a fugitive from justice.
Brett Willis Warner should be brought before the Steele County District Court so he may be advised of his rights and a determination be made whether or not he waives extradition to the State of Iowa or whether he contests and demands a hearing relative to the right of the State of Minnesota to return him to the State of Iowa. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 609.49 intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
