All of the conduct described herein occurred within the County of St. Louis, State of Minnesota, unless otherwise noted. On May 26, 2026, at approximately 4:27 P.M., Officer Young with the Duluth Police Department responded to the report of property damage at the downstairs apartment of the house located [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Duluth, St. Louis County, Minnesota. The reporting party was a juvenile born in 2007, hereinafter referred to as the Victim. The Victim called 911 to say that a woman later identified as KIAH GRACE MOELLER, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter referred to as the Defendant, had come into her aunt’s apartment without consent while she, the Victim, [NAME REDACTED]. The Victim described hearing a knock at the door and assumed it was one of her aunt’s friends.
The Victim opened the door and the Defendant pushed her way inside and demanded to see her aunt. The Defendant told the Victim that the Victim’s aunt had stolen her vape and threatened to beat the Victim’s aunt up. When the Victim told the Defendant that the Victim’s aunt was not home, the Defendant became angry and slammed the television on the ground causing approximately $672.00 in damage to the television which had a broken screen. The Defendant left the apartment. Officer Young made contact with the Defendant outside of the apartment building.
Officer Young asked the Defendant if she had gone inside someone’s apartment, and the Defendant denied having done that. Officer Young brought the Defendant to the Victim [NAME REDACTED]. The Defendant then became agitated and began walking away, eventually running downbound 21 Avenue West in violation of Officer Young’s commands for her to stop. On June 14, 2026, at approximately 8:00 A.M., Officer Lemenager of the Duluth Police Department went to the Defendant’s known address of [ADDRESS REDACTED], [APT REDACTED], Duluth, MN, and took the Defendant into custody for the burglary and fleeing on foot.
In a Mirandized statement, the Defendant said that she was intoxicated the night of the incident so she only remembered some things but denied taking anything from the address. The Defendant eventually admitted to refusing to stop for the police officer and admitted to breaking the television in the apartment while trying to find her vape but denied breaking into the address. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
