On December 16, 2025, officers responded to a domestic-disturbance call at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Brooklyn Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Call notes reflected that a male had reported needing help, that a female was screaming to hang up, that the female was in a white Buick and had tried to hit the male, and that the line had disconnected. As officers arrived, they located an adult male (“Victim”) on foot several houses away from the original call location. Victim [NAME REDACTED] told officers that the suspect had fled southbound in a white Buick Encore.
Officers returned with Victim to his residence to take a statement. In the driveway of Victim’s residence, officers saw a parked vehicle that had its back window broken and damage to its headlights and taillights. Nearby, officers also observed broken glass and a gardening shovel. Victim identified the suspect as his girlfriend—Defendant JAMIE MARIE BRADFORD, born on [DOB REDACTED]. Victim [NAME REDACTED] in a significant romantic relationship for about one year and currently live together at the Brooklyn Center address.
Early that morning, the parties had argued. Defendant went outside and began to punch the window of Victim’s vehicle. She then returned inside the residence and kicked Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant returned outside and struck Victim’s vehicle with a wooden walking stick, before returning inside to strike Victim [NAME REDACTED]. An officer observed a broken stick at the scene. After that, Victim went outside to escape the assault. Once outside, Victim began to photograph and record Defendant damaging his vehicle.
At one point, the video shows Defendant striking Victim’s vehicle with the gardening tool and shattering the back window. In another video, Defendant is seen reversing the white Buick out of Victim’s driveway. Victim [NAME REDACTED] from the street, and the video shows the vehicle accelerating quickly toward Defendant and appearing to swerve toward Victim. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had to jump out of the way when Defendant drove the vehicle toward him. Ultimately, Defendant fled the scene upon hearing approaching sirens.
Officers located Defendant driving the suspect vehicle at Brooklyn Boulevard near Regent Avenue North. They apprehended and arrested Defendant, who was the sole occupant and driver. In a Miranda statement, Defendant explained that she and Victim had argued about their sexual relationship. Defendant acknowledged that she became extremely agitated and began hitting Victim’s vehicle. Defendant also admitted that she attempted to hit Victim with her vehicle by accelerating and swerving toward him. Defendant later clarified by stating that she wanted to scare Victim [NAME REDACTED] was going to hit him but that she did not intend to hit him.
Defendant confirmed that she and Victim [NAME REDACTED] at the Brooklyn Center residence. She admitted to being the aggressor during this incident. Defendant is in custody.
