On November 21, 2025, at 1043 hours, St. Paul Police received an online report of a break in and theft at 375 Jackson, St. Paul, Ramsey County. The male suspect was captured on surveillance video on November 20, 2025, at 2306 hours, leaving the offices there with a laptop and docking station. On November 24, 2025, at 2201 hours, RT, a security guard at 375 Jackson observed a male, whom he believed to be the laptop suspect attempting to access the building. He reported this to police, but the suspect was gone on arrival.
At 2314 hours, RT, encountered the same suspect getting off of the elevators on the main floor. When the male turned around, he was holding a brass knuckles/knife combination. RT pulled his handgun and ordered the suspect to drop the weapon. Police arrived and identified the suspect as Maurice Lemar Green, [DOB REDACTED]. RT said that he had seen Green with the knife earlier as he was attempting to get in a office of the second floor. A review of surveillance video from the November 20, 2025, burglary showed that Green was the same person who broke into the building and took the laptop from an office.
In a post-Miranda interview, Green denied having the knife. He claimed that RT planted it. He did admit to taking the laptop on November 20. He said he sold it for $50 at Nanosystems, [ADDRESS REDACTED] SE, Mpls. Police went to Nanosystems and recovered the stolen laptop and docking station. Green has prior felony convictions for Threats of Violence (2023) and Drugs Third Degree (2014).
