On January 12, 2026, officers executed a search warrant on the residence, vehicle, and person of TYRIEK MONTAUGE TYNER [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Defendant's residence is located at [ADDRESS REDACTED], [APT REDACTED], in the city of Eden Prairie, County of Hennepin. Defendant's vehicle was located in the underground parking garage of the apartment complex. During the execution of the warrant Defendant was located in the underground parking garage.
Officers identified themselves and attempted to stop Defendant. Defendant ignored officer commands to stop and fled officers on foot. Defendant was eventually apprehended. In Defendant's car officers found 5.72 grams of field-tested positive ("FTP") fentanyl and 4.53 grams of FTP cocaine. Officers also found $2,750.00 in U. S. Currency and Defendant's birth certificate. In a safe in the bedroom of the residence officers found 24.61 grams of FTP MDMA, also commonly known as ecstasy, in pill form. In a kitchen island drawer in the residence officers found a total of 33.56 grams of FTP fentanyl separated into separate packages.
On a bedroom closet shelf in the residence officers found a Glock 19 handgun with a loaded magazine. Post-MIRANDA Defendant stated that he was the only one who lived at the apartment, that there were cocaine and fentanyl in his car, that there were fentanyl, ecstasy, and coke (cocaine) in his apartment, that he sold drugs, and that the color of the gun was black. Defendant is prohibited from possessing a handgun due to previous felony convictions. See e.g. 19HA-CR-20-15 (Felony Domestic Assault by Strangulation). Defendant is in custody in Hennepin County.
Complainant respectfully requests a higher amount of bail due to the handgun and the significant amount of narcotics found. There is a significant risk to community safety.
