On December 15, 2025, at approximately 10:25 pm, Officer Hershberger was notified of a suspicious vehicle parked in a parking lot on 4th Street SE in Rochester, Olmsted County, Minnesota. Witness 1 (adult female identified in police reports) reported that a dark colored Hyundai SUV had been parked in the lot for 40 minutes. Officer Hershberger located the vehicle and made contact with a male who was outside of the vehicle. The male was identified as BRADLEY CHANDLER FORD [DOB REDACTED]. FORD was identified as the owner of the vehicle.
Officer Hershberger observed two torch lighters and a glass pipe with burnt residue in plain view sitting on the front seats of the vehicle. Officer Hershberger also observed what he thought to be a ripped up NARCAN package on the floorboard. When Officer Hershberger asked FORD about the paraphernalia, FORD became defensive. Officer Hershberger requested a K9 to perform an exterior sniff of the vehicle. Officer Perry arrived, a K9 officer arrived around the same time Officer Hershberger requested a K9. Officer Perry walked up to the vehicle, and he also observed the paraphernalia.
Officer Perry then had his K9 partner, K9 Maxx conduct an exterior sniff of the vehicle. K9 Maxx alerted at the front driver’s door seam. Officer Perry returned K9 Maxx to his squad and then a search of FORD’S car was conducted. Officer Peterson located a plastic wrap with what appeared to be a white substance next to the glass pipe. Officer Perry tested the substance, and it was presumptively positive test for methamphetamine. The substance weighed 0.79 grams with packaging. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE. FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR COURT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CRIMINAL CHARGES BEING IMPOSED AND PUNISHED AS PROVIDED IN MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 609.49.
