On November 13, 2025, at 4:57 A.M., Deputy Feenstra of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle bearing Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED], with expired registration, in the City of Albertville, Wright County, Minnesota. A male driving the vehicle matched the description of a male reported to be tampering with another vehicle or vehicles in the area. The driver was identified as Deangelo Michael McDavid-Hampton [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant McDavid-Hampton. Deputy Feenstra observed a male passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Nathaneil Michael Eugene Clark [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant Clark.
Deputy Feenstra observed a bubble pipe with burnt residue consistent with methamphetamine use. Defendant Clark admitted he used a controlled substance while in the vehicle within the previous two hours. Deputy Feenstra searched the vehicle. The search yielded identification cards, mail, checks, clothing, tools, and electronics, many of which were consistent with stolen property. A magazine containing eighteen.40 caliber rounds of ammunition was in the driver’s side door. Both defendants had access to the magazine.
Defendant Clark admitted he was convicted of felonies. Court records show Defendant Clark was convicted of felony theft crimes. It should be noted the checks that were recovered were located in the backpack that Defendant McDavid-Hampton was carrying but Defendant Clark owned. Following a Miranda warning, Defendant Clark said that Defendant McDavid-Hampton smoked methamphetamine with Defendant Clark before Defendant McDavid-Hampton left the vehicle with one backpack. Defendant McDavid-Hampton returned to the vehicle with additional property.
Defendant Clark denied possession of stolen property. Defendant Clark stated the drugs located in the center console of the vehicle were Defendant McDavid-Hampton. Defendant McDavid-Hampton stated he required all the found items through “bartering with individuals” in the parking lots of businesses in the area. Defendant McDavid-Hampton denied entering vehicles in the area. Defendant McDavid-Hampton also had a meth pipe, crack pipe, and an envelope belonging to a female residing in Elk River in his fanny pack.
The methamphetamine located in the center console field tested positive for methamphetamine, a controlled II substance, and weighed approximately 0.3 grams.
