On October 4, 2025, at approximately 8:04 P.M., Rochester Police Officers responded to the Royal Oaks Townhomes located at 3096 25th Street, Olmsted County, regarding a domestic assault. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Victim, [NAME REDACTED] in police reports, who stated that her ex-boyfriend, ERRAN MONTEZ MCCRAY [DOB REDACTED], kicked in her door and assaulted her. Officers observed the front door of the apartment damaged, an array of furniture in the living room disheveled, and visible injuries on Victim’s face.
Victim stated that MCCRAY began calling and texting her persistently. Victim [NAME REDACTED] attempts to contact her, which led him to arrive at her residence uninvited. MCCRAY instructed Victim’s daughter to open the door for him. Victim told her daughter not to comply. MCCRAY began cursing and kicked the door open, entering the residence without permission. Once inside, MCCRAY began repeatedly punching and striking the Victim with a closed fist. Victim’s children witnessed the assault and ran to the neighbor’s residence to seek help.
When the neighbor came to the residence, she observed MCCRAY strike the back of Victim’s head repeatedly before fleeing the scene. Victim [NAME REDACTED] in her head and face and had knots on the back of her head. Officers observed swelling on her left cheek, her lips swollen, and lumps on Victim’s head. Officers made contact with Victim’s children, who provided statements consistent with Victim’s statement. Victim [NAME REDACTED] has a history of jealousy and controlling behavior and has previously strangled her in the past. 2 ••-CR-••-•••• Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 11/6/2025 A COMPLAINT WARRANT IS RESPECTFULLY REQUESTED. EFFORTS TO LOCATE MCCRAY FOR A PROBABLE CAUSE ARREST HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. THERE IS REASON TO BELIEVE THAT MCCRAY IS A THREAT TO THE LIFE AND WELL-BEING OF VICTIM AND HER FAMILY IF HE IS NOT ARRESTED. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE.
