Delgado Marquez informed Detective Logan Hanson from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office that in July 2025, she was living with her mother, MARQUEZ LOPEZ and her stepfather, DARWIN ARIEL HERNANDEZ MADRID [DOB REDACTED] in St. Paul, MN. At that time, MARQUEZ LOPEZ requested permission for HERNANDEZ MADRID to take D. V. D. M. To New York, to which she denied. Approximately one week later. She woke up in the morning and HERNANDEZ MADRID was gone and D. V. D. M. Was with him.
Delgado Marquez lived with MARQUEZ LOPEZ until about a month ago when she moved to Willmar, Kandiyohi County. Delgado Marquez currently resides in Willmar, Kandiyohi County. After she moved to Willmar, MARQUEZ LOPEZ left the State, presumably to meet up with HERNANDEZ MADRID and D. V. D. M. Delgado Marquez reported that when she would ask MARQUEZ LOPEZ that the child [NAME REDACTED] would threaten to call law enforcement, MARQUEZ LOPEZ would verbally abuse her or threaten to flee the country and take D. V. D. M to Honduras.
Delgado Marquez would request the location from both HERNANDEZ MADRID and MARQUEZ LOPEZ, and they would give her different address, some being in New York. But, she did not believe that the addresses were accurate as she was able to track MARQUEZ LOPEZ’s location through the DoorDash application. Delgado Marquez reported that MARQUEZ LOPEZ’s location was in the Washington D. C. And surrounding areas. MARQUEZ LOPEZ would tell Delgado Marquez that she was not with HERNANDEZ MADRID and D. V. D. M., but Delgado Marquez did not believe that was the truth.
At one point, Delgado Marquez requested to come and get D. V. D. M. And HERNANDEZ MADRID sent her screenshots of flights from Fargo to Montreal, Canada, claiming he would send her a ticket to come see D. V. D. M. Delgado Marquez is concerned that HERNANDEZ MADRID and MARQUEZ LOPEZ may try to flee the country with D. V. D. M. To Honduras since they were requesting D. V. D. M.’s U. S. Passport. On January 6, 2026, Delgado Marquez received a request from MARQUEZ LOPEZ for money for D. V. D. M. To feed him since he had not eaten in a while.
Delgado Marquez confirmed that MARQUEZ LOPEZ and HERNANDEZ MADRID did not have any custodial rights to D. V. D. M. On January 9, 2026, Delgado Marquez sent a text message to MARQUEZ LOPEZ notifying her that she wants D. V. D. M. To be returned immediately. MARQUEZ LOPEZ stopped responding to her. Prior to sending this message, MARQUEZ LOPEZ gave Delgado Marquez an address in Iowa, which Delgado Marquez knew to be false since she is appearing to use DoorDash in Washington D. C. Delgado Marquez is concerned that if MARQUEZ LOPEZ was confronted by law enforcement and HERNANDEZ MADRID and D. V. D. M. Are not with her, MARQUEZ LOPEZ would contact HERNANDEZ MADRID and he would flee the area or country with D. V. D. M. On the same date, Delgado Marquez also sent a message to HERNANDEZ MADRID to returned D. V. D. M. 2 34-CR-26-22 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 1/14/2026 immediately.
