On December 31, 2025, Princeton Police Department Officers responded to an apartment on 19th Avenue South in Princeton, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota, on a report of a domestic assault no longer in progress. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with A.M. M. E., an adult female fully identified in police reports, who reported that her boyfriend, Defendant CHARLES WILLIAM LAMEE [DOB REDACTED] had choked her and punched her in the face. Officers observed that she was visibly upset, had blood coming from her mouth, and had blood on her sweatshirt.
A.M. M. E. Stated that she and Defendant had gotten into a verbal argument over food, and she went to her bedroom to avoid Defendant. Defendant then kicked in the bathroom door, and again started strangling her. A.M. M. E. Reported that when Defendant was strangling her, her breathing was restricted. When A.M. M. E. Told him she was going to call the police, Defendant left the apartment.
Officers observed blood on the floor of the hallway to the bedroom and on the floor of the bathroom, and that the bathroom door was severely damaged. A.M. M. E. Advised that Defendant lived in an apartment in an adjacent building. Officers attempted to make contact with Defendant at the adjacent apartment but received no response.
