That on August 26, 2025, at approximately 3:30PM, officers responded to REI Sporting goods, [ADDRESS REDACTED]. W.in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota, for a past action shoplifter. Bloomington Police Department (BPD) dispatch advised that the reporting party wished to report a theft from 8/26/25. After arriving, officers met with the reporting party, identified by name and prior contact as Hudson. Hudson was an employee of REI who worked as a loss prevention associate, assigned to the reporting of theft and similar incidents.
Hudson said that on 8/26/25 a theft had occurred and provided the following information: On 8/26/25 at 4:25 PM, two suspects entered the main entrance to the northeast corner of the store. The first suspect was a white female with tattoos, wearing a black under armor brand t-shirt and 3/4 length blue jeans. The second was a white or Hispanic male with long dark ponytail and a blue shirt. Around 4:26 PM, the two suspects selected merchandise from the store shelves, the second suspect selected an item, a cooler bag.
The female then concealed the two selected items on her person. The two passed all points of sale without attempting to pay for the selected merchandise and exited the doors near the checkout on the southeast corner of the store. The two suspects exited the store with the selected and concealed merchandise around 4:36 PM on 8/26/25. The total of the merchandise was determined to be $164.95. Hudson advised that through their internal database and photos of the suspects that he uploaded, he obtained possible identities of the suspects.
The first suspect was possibly identified as "Shannon Marie Wolke [DOB REDACTED]". The second was possibly identified as "Philip Daniel Gordon". A Bloomington detective was able to review the footage from REI, specifically the evidence listed as Cam 45 in Axon which provides the clearest photos of the suspects as they exit the store. The detective immediately recognized the male as Philip Daniel Gordon ([DOB REDACTED]) who they have recently had a separate (felony-level) theft case from the same day that occurred at a local Guitar Center in Bloomington, Minnesota.
It should be noted that the suspect(s) in this case were wearing the exact clothing at the time of the Guitar Center theft. Although the female suspect was not initially identified with the other listed case (as she was not the one to steal the guitar), she was with Gordon at the time. The detective was able to obtain a recent booking photo of Shannon Marie Wolke ([DOB REDACTED]) from MRAP which was dated on 1/12/2025 and compared it to the video provided by the store's Loss Prevention, specifically Cam 45 in Axon.
Upon freezing multiple frames of the available video and comparing the photos, the detective could definitively say that Wolke is the female suspect of this case. In addition to their own observations, the detective also utilized open source intelligence photos of Wolke that are consistent with the female suspect of this case Based on the above, your complainant states that on August 26, 2025, within the corporate limits of the City of Bloomington, Hennepin County, State of Minnesota, Shannon Marie Wolke, then and there being, did violate the above-listed provisions.
