08/21/2007 (18), violated the law as set forth herein. On December 31, 2025, at approximately 10:00 PM, Alexandria Police Officer Nate Larson responded to a complaint of a barefoot male dressed in a black hoodie and blue jeans hitting the front door of an apartment building located at [ADDRESS REDACTED], Alexandria, MN. Upon arrival, Ofc. Larson located the suspect and asked him what was going on. The male, later identified as GABRIEL ALAN SCHWINDT, [DOB REDACTED] (“Defendant”), stated he was trying to see his mother and then put his hand out to give Ofc.
Larson a fist bump. The Defendant then looked down at Ofc. Larson’s firearm, grabbed it, and yelled, “Give me that!” Ofc. Larson grabbed the Defendant’s arm and pushed him onto the hood of his squad vehicle with the assistance of another law enforcement officer. The Defendant was arrested and transported to the Douglas County Jail. While en route, the Defendant exhibited mood swings, ranging from yelling and spitting to apologizing for his behavior. The Defendant later admitted to consuming methamphetamine and marijuana.
