On November 22, 2025, at 4:10 A.M., Deputy Hintz with the Washington County Sheriff's Office was on patrol driving westbound on Highway 36 approaching Interstate 694 in Washington County when he observed a vehicle entering Highway 36 ahead of him. The vehicle abruptly swerved to the right, nearly striking the curb prior to merging. Deputy Hintz ran the vehicle's license plate and learned the registered owner, OLEKSANDR MICHAEL RESHETAR, [DOB REDACTED], had a revoked [DL# REDACTED]. Deputy Hintz followed the vehicle as it drove towards the Fleet Farm gas station and observed the driver cross the fog line.
Deputy Hintz initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, who provided a [DL# REDACTED] himself as RESHETAR. Deputy Hintz noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and that RESHETAR had glossy eyes and slightly slurred speech. RESHETAR stated he had two to three vodka drinks prior to driving. Deputy Hintz administered the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, Walk and Turn, and One-Leg Stand field sobriety tests, all of which RESHETAR performed poorly. RESHETAR provided a preliminary breath test sample of.096 and was subsequently arrested for DWI. During a search of RESHETAR'S vehicle deputies located an open container of vodka and two small plastic baggies containing a white, powdery substance.
Both substances NIK-tested positive for cocaine and weighed 2.0 grams total. RESHETAR was transported to the Washington County Jail and read the breath test advisory. RESHETAR agreed to take the test and provided a sample indicating his blood alcohol concentration was.065. RESHETAR currently has a pending misdemeanor DWI in Hennepin County case number 27-CR-25- 24657, for which he was arrested on September 28, 2025. RESHETAR also has a corresponding Implied Consent License Revocation from the same date.
RESHETAR currently remains in custody at the Washington County Jail.
