Your complainant is a Deputy with the Steele County Sheriff's Office. Investigation has revealed that on June 7, 2025, at approximately 7:10 P.M. Deputy Holm was dispatched to the Owatonna Police Department lobby for report of threats. Upon arrival, Deputy Holm met with the victim, [NAME REDACTED]L. S. A. L. Stated his dad passed away in December and he is the biological son. His dad left him a vehicle. He has been getting calls from one of his stepbrothers, leaving nasty messages. He received a voicemail last night and he just noticed it a little bit ago.
The voicemails have been left by the stepbrother, identified as Daniel Joe Peltier, [DOB REDACTED]. On June 6, 2025 at 9:15 P.M. One was left stating "You f****** piece of garbage. I will slit your f****** throat. I'm going to f****** kill you c*********." S. A. L. Stated when he got the threatening message, he was he was nervous. S. A. L. Stated if Peltier did show up, he didn't know what he would do. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 609.49 intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
