On March 20, 2026, officers conducted a controlled delivery of a parcel containing approximately 20.5g of methamphetamine to [ADDRESS REDACTED] N in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. As the delivery truck entered the area, officers observed a Black Cadillac park near the address. As soon as the truck arrived the Cadillac sped forward toward the address and came to a stop behind the truck. The driver of the Cadillac exited and went to retrieve the package. As this was occurring, another vehicle, a black Mercedes SUV slowly drove in front of the address.
The driver’s window was lowered, and the driver of the Mercedes SUV spoke to the driver of the Cadillac. The driver of the Cadillac followed the path of the delivery employee and obtained the package once it was placed on the porch. The male knocked on the door to the residence, picked up the package and returned to the Cadillac. During this interaction the driver from the Mercedes continued to observe from the Mercedes and speak to the other male. Both vehicles left and drove to [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Minneapolis.
The Cadillac drove closely behind the Mercedes. It appeared the vehicles were working closely in a coordinated effort to retrieve the package. The Cadillac parked in the alley behind 922 Newton. The driver of the Cadillac bailed from the car and fled on foot from officers. The box of methamphetamine from the controlled delivery was recovered from the vehicle in the front passenger seat and additional controlled substances were located on the male who fled. The Mercedes SUV parked in the front of the address.
The male exited the vehicle and walked to the address of 922 Newton and exited the property seconds later carrying a cooler and several items of trash. The male was taking these items to the Mercedes he was previously driving. Officers approached the male and asked where he came from. He pointed at [ADDRESS REDACTED] N. The male was identified as Timothy Brian Ewing Sr [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. The Defendant told officers the Merecedes and Cadillac belonged to him. During his arrest the Defendant also stated that the narcotics in his possession were marijuana, cocaine and “Nal” or fentanyl.
Officers searched the cooler which contained a total of 98.5g of field-tested positive fentanyl, packaged for sale. The narcotics in the cooler were in 5 separate baggies weighed the following: 21.7g of FTP fentanyl (weighed without packaging) 12.5g of FTP fentanyl (weighed without packaging) 26.4g of FTP fentanyl (weighed without packaging) 10.2g of FTP fentanyl (weighed without packaging) 27.7g of FTP fentanyl (weighed without packaging) The Defendant was previously convicted of First-Degree Drug possession in ••-CR-••-•••• (Convicted 11/14/2008). The Defendant is not currently in custody.
