On January 26, 2026, at approximately 11:11 P.M., Woodbury Police Officer Mattson was dispatched to a residence on Collingwood Lane, Woodbury, Washington County, State of Minnesota on a report of fraud. When the officer arrived, he met with R. L. L. (victim) who had reported that someone was using his debit card without his consent. He reported that approximately $300.00 dollars had been taken out of his bank account. He reported that he believed his former roommate, Nicholas Wayne Bartos (defendant), [DOB REDACTED], maybe the one that was using his card.
Charges were made for Uber eats. Officers did a warrant for Uber Eats and were able to learn that Uber eats was used on January 13, 2026, for $17.02, January 14, 2026, for $15.60 and January 26, 2026, five separate times, $18.31, $53.20, $129.00, $16.61, and $25.34. Total loss of $275.08. Uber Eats was able to confirm that deliveries were sent to the defendant. On February 12, 2026, Officer Carlson was able to talk to the defendant who admitted to using the card of the victim, [NAME REDACTED] was a misunderstanding.
