On March 14, 2026, at about 3:23 A.M., Minnesota State Patrol observed a white Yukon make a left turn and go the wrong way down a one-way street near the intersection of 3rd Street N and 2nd Ave N in Minneapolis, Hennepin County. Troopers conducted a stop on the vehicle, which had four occupants. The driver had bloodshot and watery eyes, he spoke in deliberate, mumbled, slurred speech. Troopers also observed the strong odors of alcohol and burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Through a series of field-sobriety tests, troopers determined the driver was impaired.
Law enforcement observed open bottles of alcohol in the vehicle, a large bag of cannabis at the driver's feet, a large amount of cash on the driver's person, and scissors and cut off baggies in the center console area of the vehicle. All occupants were directed to step out of the vehicle. The occupant who was in the rear passenger-side seat was identified as ED DARIE KESHUN HIBBLER [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. As Defendant got out, troopers observed a small baggie of 4 blue and white pills that were stamped with "M30" markings, suspected to be counterfeit oxycodone pills that actually contain fentanyl.
This small baggie of pills was at Defendant's feet in the vehicle. One of the pills was field-tested and tested positive for fentanyl. The pills have been sent to the BCA for further testing, but it is believed they are all fentanyl due to the similarity in appearance and packaging. Defendant is not currently in custody.
