09.1996) and WADE HAMILTON HASSE (DOB: 03.01.1984) herein Defendant. MBP was the reporting party. Deputies arrived and spoke with MBP. MBP explained she wanted Defendant to leave and did not feel safe with him at the residence. MBP explained that Defendant was her boyfriend for seven years and she lived there with him. MBP explained she just moved into the house within the last two months and Defendant moved in with her since she purchased it. When speaking with the Deputies MBP mentioned that Defendant had Marijuana and cocaine inside the residence in the basement.
At that time, MBP asked a Deputy to follow her down to the basement. Both MBP and the Deputy entered the basement. At that time, Defendant began pacing back and forth and wanted to get a ride to leave the residence. While in the basement, the Deputy observed a sealed bag containing at least a pound of a green leafy substance of what he believed through his training and experience to be Marijuana. They also located multiple suspected marijuana packages weighing at least one pound each, and a trash bag containing the suspected marijuana.
Thereafter, they returned to Defendant and told him he was going to be under arrest for suspected marijuana. At this time, according to the Deputy, Defendant made a spontaneous utterance, stating along the lines that his marijuana was not packaged for sale. Given the observations, a search warrant for the residence was applied for and approved. Subsequently, the warrant was executed. During the search, the Deputies also located two wax substances in a green wrapper, twenty gel capsules with green and tan substances, one plastic bottle with a brown liquid, and multiple bags containing a suspected green leafy substance, which was later field‐tested positive for marijuana.
Later, the evidence was transported to the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office where it was weighed. There were 16 bags packaged in one‐ounce quantities, thirty‐one bags that were vacuum sealed in once ounce quantities, one ounce located in a jar. Additionally, there were larger bags that were vacuum sealed with four layers. The larger bag weighed approximately 1 pound, and four additional bags found. There was a total weight of approximately 8 pounds of raw marijuana seized. The following, was weighed and an unofficial weight was gathered, the total suspected marijuana wax weighed approximately 36 grams, and the twenty gel capsules with a baggie weighed approximately 28 grams.
