On or about May 17, 2025, at approximately 3:26 A.M., Robbinsdale police were on routine patrol when they observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 100, in Robbinsdale, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, exited onto County Road 81, and failed to stop at a red light. The officer conducted a traffic stop and pulled over the vehicle. The driver, later identified as Eddie Darren Duncan [DOB REDACTED], "Defendant" herein, came to a stop. As the officer approached the vehicle on foot, the defendant looked back at the officer.
The defendant then put the vehicle into drive and fled from the traffic stop. The vehicle fled at speeds between 70-90 mph, and the driver eventually lost control and crashed. The vehicle flipped over, and defendant was seen running away from the crash. When the officer approached the vehicle, he immediately noticed a black Glock handgun with an extended magazine and an Auto Sear switch resting on the roof of the vehicle near the rear window. The magazine had twenty-nine 9mm rounds loaded into the magazine and a round in the chamber.
The registered owner of the vehicle was Defendant. The officer confirmed that the person he saw driving the vehicle appeared to match the Defendant’s driver’s license photo. A cellphone was located on the floorboard of the vehicle that had a photograph of Defendant. Defendant is out of custody. Defendant poses a threat to public safety. The State respectfully requests a warrant issued with this complaint.
