Amari Tyrell Valentine

On December 26, 2025, Minneapolis police officers responded to an assault in progress on Irving Ave. N. In Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, officers observed AMARI, TYRELL VALENTINE, Defendant herein, who appeared to be fleeing on foot from the address of the assault call. Police observed Defendant in possession of a handgun. During his flight, Defendant dropped the gun, which was recovered and confirmed to be a firearm, with a live round in the chamber. Police spoke with an identified known female, Victim herein, who reported that she was present when Defendant and his girlfriend got into a fight.

Defendant became angry and stated he was going to get a gun. Defendant left briefly and returned with a gun. Victim warned Defendant to step away, and Defendant responded that he would use the gun on Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim [NAME REDACTED] would use the gun, and was in fear, particularly when Defendant did in fact, point the gun at Victim.
