On November 24, 2025, at approximately 3:42 P.M., police responded to a residence at [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, on a report of a burglary. The caller reported that his son broke into the house through a window and took their money. Upon arrival, police spoke with MTW, who said he noticed that his side door was unlocked when he returned home, which was suspicious because he recalled locking it before he left for work. MTW reported that he went upstairs and observed that his drawers were opened and approximately $400 was missing.
MTW recalled that his daughter, YDH, told him the previous day that JEREMY DEJEUAN ADAMS – [DOB REDACTED], told her that he was going to come over to MTW’s residence and bust his window. MTW said he called ADAMS to ask if he was responsible for breaking into the home. ADAMS responded that it’s his and his mom’s house then hung up. MTW showed police the broken bedroom window. MTW stated that ADAMS does not live at the address and does not have property there. MTW reported that ADAMS last stayed at the address two or three years prior.
At approximately 5:19 P.M., police were called back to the residence on a report that ADAMS returned. As police arrived, they saw ADAMS standing in the driveway. Police gave him commands to stop, but ADAMS fled on foot. With the assistance of a K9 team and a drone, police tracked ADAMS into the woods. ADAMS did not comply with police commands and fled again. Eventually, police caught him and took him into custody. After ADAMS was apprehended, an officer spoke with YDH, who said that the mother of ADAMS’s child [NAME REDACTED] was on his way back to the residence.
YDH called ADAMS to see why he was coming back, and ADAMS said he wanted to demand that his father let him live at the house. At that point, YDH called 911. The investigator attempted to speak with ADAMS at the Ramsey County Jail, but he declined to leave his cell. The following information is offered for purposes of Rule 6.02.
