On November 9, 2025, at 5:14 A.M. Law enforcement was dispatched to a sober living facility on 2nd Street NE in the City of Columbia Heights, Anoka County on the report of a resident who had kicked in the door of the residence and threatened a roommate. Upon arrival, officers spoke with J. E. W., who indicated that the evening prior, his roommate, the Defendant herein, ROSS MICHAEL ROSENGREN [DOB REDACTED], had become belligerent with him and been kicked out of the residence by the manager. The manager of the residence had locked all of the doors and told the Defendant, who appeared intoxicated, that he was not welcome back until he went to detox.
J. E. W. Awoke to the defendant in their shared bedroom at approximately 5:00 A.M., standing over him, telling him he was going to beat him up, kill him and telling him he was a “piece of s***.” J. E. W. Advised officers that the Defendant told him he had gotten back into the residence by kicking open the door. He then called 911. Officers observed the damage done by the Defendant breaking in, observing trim laying on the floor and the door frame itself broken. The manager of the residence arrived and confirmed that the door had not been in that condition the night before and that he believed the damage would exceed $500 but would provide an estimate when he had the door repaired.
The Defendant was placed under arrest. While being transported out of the house, while walking by J. E. W., the Defendant yelled to J. E. W. That he was a “piece of s***” and that “you’ll get yours.” The Defendant have several prior convictions which enhance this matter to a felony, specifically: 1. Felony Domestic Assault in ••-CR-••-•••• with a conviction date of June 25, 2018; 2. Felony Violation of an Order for Protection in ••-CR-••-•••• with a conviction date of January 22, 2020.
