All of the conduct described herein occurred within the County of St. Louis, State of Minnesota, unless otherwise noted. On September 13, 2025, at approximately 7:36 PM, Duluth Police officers were dispatched to the report of a vehicle prowl at City View Flats, located at 333 N 1st Avenue West in Duluth, St. Louis County, Minnesota. The reporting party, Kyle Skeim, reported that some time between the hours of 7:45 PM on September 12, 2025 and 6:00 AM on September 13, 2025, someone broke into his vehicle in the parking garage of the apartment building and took his wallet and keys.
Mr. Skeim stated that he got a notification that his Target Red credit card was used at the Best Buy in Duluth to try and purchase $598.80 worth of merchandise. Mr. Skeim noted that the credit card was also used at Walmart for $325.81, McDonald’s for $41.71, Kwik Trip for $1.85, and Hideaway for $16.32. Officer McCormick went to Best Buy and met with employee Hawken Reeve, who provided surveillance video of a female using Mr. Skeim’s card at Best Buy that day. Officer McCormick sent out still photos of the female suspect from that video, and Investigator Temple and Investigator Robinson identified the female as ALETHEA RENEE ISHAM, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter referred to as the Defendant.
Investigator Temple also reviewed surveillance video from City View Flats and observed the Defendant follow a car into the parking garage and then enter a parked car. Investigator Temple also obtained surveillance video from Walmart in Hermantown and the Kwik Trip on Haines Road in Hermantown and confirmed that the Defendant used Mr. Skeim’s credit card to purchase items at both of those locations on September 13, 2025. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
