In his report, the doctor documented additional opinions, including “Femur fractures in 4-month-old children are extremely unusual and suggest a high degree of force, which is well beyond what would be seen in routine care or from a 2 to 3 year old child.
There is no family history, radiographic, or laboratory data to suggest an underlying bone disease. Given the lack of sufficient trauma history, [Victim’s] presentation is clinically diagnostic of child abuse.” The investigation showed that the defendant was the only adult in the home during the time Victim [NAME REDACTED].
