AMENDED COMPLAINT - THE COMPLAINT HAS BEEN AMENDED TO ADD NEW INFORMATION DISCOVERED TODAY AND TO ADD A COUNT OF AGGRAVATED ROBBERY. THIS NEW COUNT HAS BEEN ADDED AS COUNT I AND THE ORIGINAL SIMPLE ROBBERY HAS BEEN RENUMBERED AS COUNT II. Complainant has investigated the facts and circumstances of this offense and believes the following establishes probable cause: On October 3, 2025, Minneapolis Police conducting regular patrol were waived down by an individual referred to herein as the victim. This was near the intersection of 24th Street West and Nicollet Avenue South in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
The victim indicated that a person known to them, ANDRE HOLLY, had just approached the victim in a nearby alley where the victim [NAME REDACTED]. HOLLY pulled a pistol, pointed it at the victim and demanded money he believed the victim [NAME REDACTED]. HOLLY took a small amount of cash and two cell phones from the victim. The victim [NAME REDACTED] from the gun. The gun was ultimately fired. No one was hit. HOLLY fled the scene. Officers were able to confirm there was a ShotSpotter alert from that area.
On January 5, 2026, officers were able to locate HOLLY and obtain a statement. HOLLY confirmed having gone to the location of the incident to find the victim back on October 3, 2025. He confirmed believing he was owed money. He said that the two fought and ended up on the ground. He said the victim's phones were knocked out of the victim's hand during the altercation. When asked where the gun came from HOLLY paused before answering then stated that if there had been a gun, the victim [NAME REDACTED]. HOLLY is in custody at the Hennepin County Jail.
ON JANUARY 5, 2026, FOLLOWING THE ISSUANCE OF A WARRANT, A SEARCH WAS CONDUCTED OF HOLLY'S RESIDENCE. DURING THE COURSE OF THAT SEARCH A FIREARM WAS RECOVERED AS WAS A PHONE APPEARING TO MATCH THE DESCRIPTION OF ONE OF THE VICTIM'S PHONES.
