On or about March 2, 2026, the Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of BARBARA JEAN UNDERDAHL, [DOB REDACTED] ("Defendant") in Nerstrand, Rice County. Agents located the Defendant at the residence when the warrant was executed. The Defendant initially told the agents they would only find marijuana in the residence. Agents also found another male individual in the residence, M. S. Agents found the following in the Defendant's residence: · Inside the main level bedroom belonging to Defendant: o Blue plastic container with suspected cocaine that weighed 0.40 grams without packaging and field-tested positive; o Another blue plastic container with suspected cocaine that weighed 8.13 grams without packaging and field-tested positive.
O Multiple glass pipes with white residue commonly used for smoking crack cocaine; and o Two grinding tools commonly used to grind the cocaine rock into powder. · Inside the office: o Maxus digital scale that field-tested positive for cocaine; o 12-gauge Model 940 shotgun with no readable serial number and a cut off stock. The barrel measured 16.5 inches and had an overall length of 24.5 inches. It was found in the gun safe; o Winchester 22LR Model 27. It was found in the gun safe; and o Mail addressed to the Defendant. · Inside main living area in the basement: o I-Phone with flower case belonging to Defendant; o Red plastic container with suspected cocaine that weighed 0.08 grams without packaging and field- tested positive; o Plastic container containing cloudy white liquid that weighed 2.59 grams without packaging and field-tested positive; and o Henry Repeating Arms CO 22 Cal rifle. · Inside basement bedroom: 3 66-CR-26-514 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 3/4/2026 o Zip bag that field-tested positive for methamphetamine; o Beretta Px4 Storm 40 cal handgun; o Two 40 cal magazines that held twenty-one rounds; o Yellow plastic container with unknown white powdery substance; o Digital scale with unknown white powder; and o Glass container with dropper with clear unknown liquid.
The total amount of suspected cocaine/crack cocaine was 11.2 grams without packaging. In an initial post-Miranda statement, the Defendant told agents the following: · The razor blades in the ashtray downstairs might test positive for coke; · She did it once; · She doesn't buy it or sell anything; · She used cocaine this weekend; · She did not want to say who she used it with; · They used about an 8-ball (3.5 grams); · She paid him $150.00 for the cocaine used; · The cocaine is already bagged up and he gives her a big rock; and · Then she uses a razor blade to break it up.
The Defendant then became aware that agents found suspected cocaine inside. After learning that, the Defendant said the following: · There are probably 2-3 grams in a dresser drawer in her room; · She does have cocaine in the residence and that should be all agents will find; · She did not think there was anything else downstairs, other than razor blades and a scale; and · She started using cocaine in her late teenager year. In another later post-Miranda conversation, the Defendant told agents the following: · She buys cocaine and turns it into crack cocaine by using cocaine, baking soda and water; · She heats up the mixture turning it into crack cocaine; · She cooks the cocaine in the basement and uses all throughout the residence; 4 66-CR-26-514 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 3/4/2026 · She has a problem with her nose and that is why she turns cocaine into crack to smoke it; · The gun in safe was her husband's who passed away about 10-years ago; and · She knew there was something in the safe that probably shouldn't have been in there.
