On or about November 3, 2025, around 12:16 P.M., law enforcement responded to the 19000 block of Cedar Drive NW, Oak Grove, Anoka County, a residential neighborhood, on a report of shots fired and rounds nearly hitting the reporting party, R. J. Law enforcement spoke to R. J. Upon arrival who stated that he heard about 10 shots “whizzing by” while he was outside. One round hit a tree about 10 feet from R. J., which he stated scared him. Upon further investigation, law enforcement discovered that Allen Joseph Jorgensen [DOB REDACTED], Defendant JORGENSEN herein, and Steven Michael Bielefeld [DOB REDACTED], defendant BIELEFELD herein had been shooting a pistol nearby.
The firearm used was a silver Taurus.40 caliber pistol and had been reported stolen out of New Brighton, Ramsey County. In a search of defendant JORGENSEN, law enforcement discovered a container of methamphetamine in his chest pocket. Defendant JORGENSEN told law enforcement the contents of the container was methamphetamine. It weighed approximately 3.0 grams. Defendant BIELEFELD was also searched, and a baggie of methamphetamine was found in his pocket. It weighed approximately 2.0 grams. Both substances recovered field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
In a post-Miranda statement, defendant JORGENSEN told law enforcement that he and defendant BIELEFELD were viewing guns together and both “shot a few rounds” with a “Taurus automatic handgun.” Defendant JORGENSEN said defendant BIELEFELD brought all the firearms, which defendant JORGENSEN said he “didn't want too much to do with because he knew he wasn't supposed to.” Defendant JORGENSEN has a felony conviction from July 21, 2009, in 02-CR-08-801, for possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, which is a crime of violence that makes him ineligible to possess firearms.
Lastly, defendant JORGENSEN said that he had been shooting at a bird’s nest about 100 yards away and was aware that there was a residential neighborhood beyond where he was shooting, and that defendant BIELEFELD had been shooting lower and to the left toward the more-wooded area. Law enforcement was able to recover the Taurus handgun under the rear seat of defendant BIELEFELD‘S truck after executing a search warrant. Law enforcement also observed about 9 spent.40 caliber casings near the truck. Defendant BIELEFELD is also ineligible to possess firearms from a felony conviction on October 15, 2015, in 02-CR-15-1625 for possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree.
