On April 16, 2016, at approximately 10:15 A.M., Saint Paul Officers were dispatched to Highland Bank, [ADDRESS REDACTED], Saint Paul, County of Ramsey, on a check forgery. Officers arrived and saw the suspect- DIAMONE CHARLAY NYCOLE ENGLE, [DOB REDACTED], at the teller window. Staff advised she presented a fraudulent check. ENGLE was arrested. ENGLE said she received a check in the mail from an insurance company as reimbursement for a medical procedure. When questioned further, ENGLE said the check was for a settlement and not reimbursement.
ENGLE denied knowing the check was fraudulent. She said the check stub for the check was in her vehicle and the envelope was at her residence. During a search of ENGLE, the pay stub that was originally attached to the check was in ENGLE’s pocket. The date of the pay stub is April 10, 20The check was from Global Health Ministries, addressed to Patterson Dental Supply Inc., amount $7,078.40, check 17363. Police were not able to find ENGLE’s vehicle. Officers met bank manager, MDD who said ENGLE attempted to cash the check on April 15th at the Highland Bank Maple Grove location.
Bank staff called Global Health Ministries, the business that issued the check originally. While staff was trying to verify the check, ENGLE left the bank because it was taking too long to be cashed. Staff did not call 911. On April 16th, ENGLE went to the St. Paul location and attempted to cash the check. Staff called 911 immediately. The check number is 17363, had ENGLE’s name as payee, value $7,078.40. The check appeared washed. Employee at Global Health Ministries BLO, said he issued and signed the check to Patterson Dental, [ADDRESS REDACTED], Illinois.
The check was to be mailed from his place of business on Hickory Street, Fridley. BLO did not have any record of ENGLE associated with Global Health Ministries. BLO did not know how ENGLE obtained the check. BLO said on April 10, 2026, he placed the check in a mail pile on the front desk of the business. The business had volunteers from three different homes for disabled people help them on April 10th. In total, there were about 15-20 volunteers.
