Complainant is Maple Grove Police Department Detective Dominic Wareham. Complainant states that on August 3, 2025, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Sycamore Lane in the city of Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota, due to the vehicle displaying an expired registration tab. A license plate inquiry of the vehicle showed that the Honda Pilot had not been registered since 2022. Upon contact with the driver, Natalie Jorges, officers advised for the reason for the stop and she advised she did not know her registration was expired as her husband handles vehicle registrations.
Officers advised that her vehicle was displaying 2024 registration tabs but it had not been registered since 2022. Natalie stated she was going to call her husband, ANDREW PAUL JORGES [DOB REDACTED], to ask him about it. Officers ran the sticker that was attached to the Honda and it came back assigned to a 2021 Dodge Ram. Officers reinitiated contact with Natalie who advised she was on the phone with her husband, JORGES. JORGES advised he put his truck's registration stickers on his wife's car as a joke.
Officers asked JORGES why the registration had not been updated since 2022, and he stated he thought he had gotten the registration updated. When advised of the Intent to Escapte Tax charge, JORGES admitted that the stickers came from his Dodge Ram. Officers took pictures of the stickers and attempted to remove them. While removing them, officers observed that there were also blue 2023 tabs underneath the 2024 tabs, revealing that other stickers had been placed on this license plate for 2023. An inquiry of the 2024 tabs shows that the Dodge Ram is owned by Ess Leasing Company, where JORGES is an employee.
JORGES is listed as the registered owner of the Honda Pilot.
