On or about 05/16/2026, at approximately 0530 hours, Officers were routine patrol in near the intersection of northbound HWY 169 and 114th Ave in Champlin, Hennepin County Minnesota, when they observed a motorcycle with a taillight that was not visible. Officers observed that the taillight was not only dim and would shut off for several seconds at a time but was also partially burnt out. Soon after, Officers activated their emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop. Officers approached the driver, Lucas Daniil Krasnenkov [DOB REDACTED], defendant hereinafter.
Officers immediately detected a strong odor of a consumed alcoholic beverage emanating from the passenger. During the records check, Officers found the defendant’s driving status was revoked and ignition interlock restriction. Officers immediately noticed the defendant’s eyes were bloodshot and watery and, as he spoke, they could detect a faint scent of a consumed alcoholic beverage on his breath, and his speech was slightly slurred. Officers conducted field sobriety tests on the defendant. The first test performed was the horizontal gaze nystagmus.
The defendant’s eyes demonstrated equal tracking, a lack of smooth pursuit, nystagmus prior to 45 degrees, and distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation, in both eyes. Officers did not observe vertical nystagmus. The defendant provided a breath sample for the PBT, which gave a reading of 0.11. Officers performed a search of the motorcycle. In the saddle bags Officers located a fixed blade knife about 6 inches in length, a ball cap with “Outlaw 36” embroidered into it, and a pistol wrapped in a sweatshirt.
The handgun was a 1911 Remington 45 caliber with serial number RHN26677A. The defendant was placed under arrest and read the MN breath advisory. The defendant consented to the breath test. The defendant’s final DMT result was 0.09g/210L. The defendant was transported to Hennepin County Adult Detention Center. Minnesota criminal history reflects that the defendant had a felony crime of violence conviction for Simple Robbery in MN court file ••-CR-••-••••, which prohibited him from possessing a firearm.
Furthermore, the defendant is the respondent of an Order for Protection which has been served and is valid until 2027 62- DA-FA-25-662. Additionally, the defendant has 2 prior qualifying DWI's on his record: ••-CR-••-••••- convicted on 07/8/2025, and 62SU-CR-22-2347 -convicted on 07/26/2023. The defendant is currently in custody.
