A maroon passenger car slowed in front of the two people before continuing driving at 6:11 PM. One of the men, who wore a red sweatshirt, raised his right arm and fired several rounds at the maroon vehicle. The man in the red sweatshirt chased the maroon vehicle and continued firing at it. Casings recovered from the scene on November 30, 2025 were fired from the same gun that had been fired at that same location on November 24, 2025. DAMYLO KERRELL BRANSON [DOB REDACTED] was a suspect in the earlier shooting at the Maryland Supermarket.
On January 6, 2026, officers executed a search warrant at [ADDRESS REDACTED]. Officers arrested Branson at that location. Officers found a Glock handgun behind a radiator in Branson’s bedroom. Officers found two handgun magazines in a toilet tank. Officers found clothing Branson wore during the November 24, 2025 shooting during the search warrant. Branson was advised of his constitutional rights and agreed to speak to an investigator. When asked if he had any idea why he was in custody, Branson said, “Yes, 444 Maryland.
You said it. Gun Unit so clearly you must have seen me on camera with a gun.” When asked what’s going on, Branson replied, I’m making stupid-ass decisions—that’s it.” Branson claimed a man walked up to his car with a gun and started shooting at him. The investigator asked Branson if it happened in the lot at [ADDRESS REDACTED], and Branson said, “This happened on the side, right? Right before Thanksgiving, right?” Branson again said he did some dumb s***. When asked what specifically he did, Branson said, “So, I came back and said, ‘Blah, blah, blah.’ I came from the side of Arundel, but I didn’t want to kill nobody, bro.” Branson made a shooting gesture when he made that statement.
The investigator clarified the specific incident he was talking to Branson about occurred on November 24, 2025. Branson eventually admitted firing at a car that had left the parking lot in that case. Branson waived his constitutional rights and agreed to speak to a different investigator who was assigned to the incident that occurred on November 30, 2025. Branson was shown photos taken from surveillance video of the incident. Branson identified himself as the person wearing the red hooded sweatshirt.
