On January 19, 2026, at 8:19 A.M., law enforcement officers were dispatched to a residence in Minnetonka, Hennepin County, Minnesota on a report that a male was threatening to kill his parents. Dispatch could hear a male voice yelling, “I’ll kill you before they get there.” Upon arrival, two individuals ran out of the residence and were identified as K. B. And A. B. They were emotional and breathing heavily. Their son, HUNTER ROBERT BOST [DOB REDACTED], was located in the residence and apprehended.
He had a significant cut to his finger that was bleeding. Inside the home, an officer observed a large hole near the main entry door. There was blood splatter near the hole. A broken lamp and broken glass were also located on the floor. K. B. Reported that his son is a drug user and that this is not the first time he has become violent and threatened to kill them. While sitting in the living room, BOST became upset with his parents because his car broke down and he left his cellphone in an Uber. He was demanding his parents buy him a new phone and give him money to fix his car.
BOST then threatened to kill his parents, stated he was going to grab a knife, and then walked towards the kitchen. K. B. And A. B. Proceeded to run and hide from their son and locked themselves in the bathroom and bedroom. K. B. Could hear BOST breaking items inside the house before approaching the bathroom, puncturing the door with a knife sharpener multiple times, and screaming, “I am going to kill you!” A. B. Said she was going to call the police and BOST said he will kill them before they get there.
In BOST’S room, officers located used syringe needles and a methamphetamine smoking pipe. BOST agreed to provide a Mirandized statement. He stated that to start the day, his dad woke him up around 7:30 A.M. And they were eating breakfast at the kitchen table when he got upset because his dad wouldn’t help him get his phone that he left in an Uber. BOST stated he “overreacted” and said things that he regrets. He denied threatening to kill his parents but did say he never wanted to see them again and he hates them.
He admitted to causing damage to doors today with an object. BOST was convicted of Violation of Harassment Restraining Order on November 19, 2021 (see court file ••-CR-••-••••). BOST is currently in custody in the Hennepin County Jail.
