The individual concealed items from the store and went by all points of sale without paying for the merchandise. The individual was identified as CANDAICE RAE DUVALL, Defendant. In Defendant’s purse, law enforcement located a folded paper with a white powdery substance, which field-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed.46 grams.
On this occasion, the merchandise stolen by Defendant was valued at $707.85. Target staff reported that Defendant committed multiple prior thefts from the store. - On 10/28/2025, at a Target store in Minneapolis, Defendant made multiple clothing selections and eventually concealed them into a bag. Defendant walked out of the store bypassing all points of sale without paying for the items. The value of the items was $196.49. - On 11/01/2025, at a Target store in Minneapolis, Defendant and two accomplices made multiple clothing selections and concealed them in a bag.

Defendant stated that she was stealing items for others. Defendant admitted having no intention to pay for the items. Defendant stated that the powder was methamphetamine.
