At approximately 5:43 P.M. On February 19, 2026, Annandale Police Officer Goff was dispatched to [address omitted] in Annandale, Wright County, Minnesota for a report of an in-progress physical domestic disturbance. Dispatch advised that they could hear yelling and screaming on the line, that the complainant said she was being choked, and that the complainant was in the back bathroom of the residence and could not get away from the assailant. When Officer Goff initially arrived on scene, he did not hear any yelling coming from the home.
He asked dispatch to tell the complainant to come to the front door, but dispatch said the complainant could not. Wright County Sheriff’s Deputy Christensen arrived and went to the back side of the home. Officer Goff and Deputy Christensen then heard screaming from inside the home, and they entered the home through an unlocked door. When Officer Goff entered the back bedroom he saw a man, later identified as Allen August Ende ([DOB redacted]) (hereinafter “the defendant”), walk out of the bathroom with blood dripping from his left hand.
Officer Goff saw a woman, later identified as the defendant’s adult daughter MSR with whom the defendant was staying, curled up on the toilet with her shirt off. MSR indicated she and the defendant argued, he tried to attack her, and she ran to the bathroom to get away from him. He grabbed the collar of the top of the shirt she was wearing, and he would twist the collar and it would choke her. He would do that until he got tired, and then he would then start over again. In a recorded statement, she said specified that this choking with the collar of her shirt affected her ability to breathe.
She said the choking incident went on for about 10 minutes, including while she was on the phone with 911. Officer Goff noticed MSR’s throat was red, with several scratches and red marks along her neck and throat area. MSR said her throat was sore and it hurt a bit to swallow. The defendant declined to provide a statement to law enforcement.
