10/05/2001 (24), violated the law as set forth herein. On or about April 9, 2026, at approximately 10:08 PM, Alexandria Police Department officers were dispatched to [ADDRESS REDACTED], Apartment 105, in Alexandria, Minnesota, for a report of an active domestic disturbance. Prior to officers’ arrival, the Defendant left the scene in a white Ford F-250 pickup truck. Officers Gavin Pexsa and Bryan Crary located and stopped the vehicle. The Defendant was identified, pat-searched, detained, and placed in the back of his squad car.
Officer Nate Larson remained at the residence to speak with the victim. The victim, [NAME REDACTED], reported that she is the mother of the Defendant’s minor daughter. Earlier that day, A. B. Had dropped the child off with the Defendant’s sister, Jenna Jibben, so the Defendant could spend time with her. When the Defendant failed to appear, A. B. Told him she was coming to retrieve the child. Upon A. B.’s arrival, the Defendant confronted her at the patio door, began yelling at her, and called her names.
He refused to allow A. B. Inside to get their daughter. When A. B. Attempted to enter the apartment, the Defendant pushed her. A. B. Further reported a prior history of verbal abuse and property damage by the Defendant and stated she was afraid of him. Jenna Jibben was present inside the apartment and corroborated A. B.’s account. She stated she heard the Defendant yelling at A. B. And heard the door shut. Jenna then walked outside and personally observed the Defendant push A. B. The Defendant admitted to officers that he had called his ex-girlfriend “a fat b****” and then left the residence.
He denied any physical contact. Officers subsequently placed the Defendant under arrest for domestic assault and transported him to the Douglas County Jail. The Defendant’s criminal history includes a prior conviction for 5th Degree Assault under Crow Wing County District Court File No. 18-CR-24-4173 on November 18, 2025, and a prior juvenile adjudication for misdemeanor Domestic Assault under Douglas County District Court File No. 21-JV-16-1228 o n September 29, 2016.
