On 02/17/26, at 15:54, an Officer with the Coon Rapids police department was dispatched to [ADDRESS REDACTED] in the City of Coon Rapids, in the County of Anoka for a car dolly theft report. He learned that during the overnight hours of 02/16/26 at approximately 22:22 hours a White ford F150 displaying MN license plate TKJ422 came onto the property of U-Haul. The truck is owned by Jerome William Darkow [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. While reviewing video footage of the theft from U-Haul security cameras, officers found that the male that exited the truck and hooked up the car dolly closely resembled the Defendant.
The car dolly is valued at $3,100. During a post Miranda interview with the Defendant on 3/13/26, Defendant admitted to the theft of a car dolly from U-Haul on 2/17/2026, and in aiding an accomplice in removing branding from stolen trailers so they could be resold.
