That on August 28, 2025, Bloomington Detective Contessa #368 (along with Detective Nelson #374), were conducting Alcohol compliance checks. At approximately 2:15PM, the 18 year old female operative (VC) entered Sheraton Hotel located at 5601 78th St. W., in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota, VC proceeded to the front desk and attempted to purchase an alcoholic beverage. The front desk employee, Kundai Tapera ([DOB REDACTED]), did not request VC's identification and allowed her to purchase a 12 fl.
Oz. Black raspberry flavored "Carbliss" Vodka for the amount of $9.08 which was charged to her Apple Pay account ending in #1088. Detective Contessa dentified myself as a Police Officer and asked for Tapera's identification. He explained that he thought she was staying in the hotel. Detective Nelson #374 took a photo of the alcoholic beverage and returned it to the store. A refund was also requested for VC's account. Based on the above, your complainant states that on August 28, 2025, within the corporate limits of the City of Bloomington, Hennepin County, State of Minnesota, Kundai Tapera, then and there being, did violate the above-listed provisions.
