Your Complainant is an Officer with the Owatonna Police Department. Investigation has revealed that on October 10th, 2025, MN Prairie County Alliance sent a cross report of child abuse to Detective Van Alstine. The investigation found that Kyle Richard Dagit [DOB REDACTED] had bite his six month old child. L. D. Showed Officer Van Alstine and Mobili Child 1's right shoulder. Officer Van Alstine could see a circular bruise with no bruising in the center. The bruise covered Child 1's right shoulder and was light brown in color.
L. D. Stated the incident occurred on Tuesday (October 7th, 2025). L. D. And her mother were not home at the time. After Child 1's clothes were removed, L. D.'s mom noticed the bruise on Child 1's shoulder. L. D. Believed it occurred around 10:00AM, L. D. And her mom left around 9:00 AM and Dagit was putting Child 1 down for a nap. Dagit later told the family that Child 1 had flung herself backwards, but the family sees the injury as a bite mark. L. D. Went over to Dagit's parents' house because that is where he went.
When L. D. And Dagit talked, he admitted to biting Child 1. Dagit stated he has not been taking his medication. Dagit said he didn't know why he did it. Dagit has anxiety and Asperger's. L. D. Decided she couldn't trust Dagit and told him he had to leave. L. D. Stated she had seen Dagit get rough with Child 1 during diaper changes, but usually the family is around to intervene. L. D. Says there were past incidents of Dagit grabbing onto her wrists and preventing her from leaving the downstairs bedroom.
On Tuesday, October 7th, 2025. Dagit stated to social serives that he became frustrated with Child 1 while he was trying to put her to sleep because she wouldn't fall asleep. He shared that he bit her (Child 1) on the shoulder, causing bruising. Dagit mentioned that he has felt frustrated with Child 1 many other times." Dagit also shared that he would hold Child 1's legs down when he gets frustrated. Child 1 is six moths old. Child 1 is the daughter of L. D. On October 13th, Social Worker and Officer Van Alstine went to Dagit's parents' house.
Dagit agreed to speak with Officer Van Alstine and Mobili in his front yard. Dagit stated he did not purposefully bite Child 1. Dagit had Child 1 in his arms, she rocked backwards, then forwards, and her shoulder went into his mouth. Dagit says he put Child 1 down for a nap. Dagit then stated that it was an accidental bite; Child 1's shoulder accidentally went into her mouth. Dagit confirmed that L. D. Or L. D.'s parents would intervene during diaper changes because Child 1 would move around a lot.
