On December 9, 2025, at approximately 9:29 A.M., St. Louis Park Police Officers responded to a theft from a vehicle report at the Edge of Uptown Apartment Building, [ADDRESS REDACTED] South, St. Louis Park, Hennepin County. The reporting party, T. G., reported that his vehicle was parked in his apartment's attached underground garage. When he went to his vehicle the morning of December 9th, he found his vehicle had been rummaged through and his powder blue Fender guitar, case, and accessories inside the case had been stolen.
The guitar, case, and accessories are valued between $500 and $1000. Officers recalled that other St. Louis Park Officers had arrested REVON QUANTEZ TOWNS, Defendant herein, hours prior to T. G.'s report and the Defendant was in possession of a similarly described guitar. At 2:25 A.M., Officers received a report that there was an individual in the parking lot of [ADDRESS REDACTED] 25, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, pulling on door handles of vehicles appearing to try to gain access without permission.
The 4015 address is approximately 0.8 miles from the Edge of Uptown Apartment Building where T. G.'s guitar was stolen. Officers detained a male in the parking lot, J. R., and J. R. Indicated that the Defendant was involved in the 4015 parking lot incident. Officers located the Defendant nearby on West Lake Street, where he attempted to hide from Officers, and was eventually stopped near Thomas Avenue South and West Lake Street, in possession of T. G.'s guitar. The Defendant was arrested for active felony warrants; Officers were unaware at this time the guitar was stolen until T. G. Reported it a few hours later at 9:25 A.M. T. G. Does not know the Defendant and did not give him permission to take the guitar.
The Defendant is currently pending charges for Felony Theft in ••-CR-••-••••; Felony 3rd Degree Burglary and Felony Possession of Burglary Tools in ••-CR-••-••••; Felony Theft in ••-CR-••-••••; and Misdemeanor Assault in the 5th Degree in ••-CR-••-••••. The Defendant has a recent conviction in ••-CR-••-•••• on October 13, 2025, for Felony Theft with an active probation violation warrant. The Defendant has approximately four felony convictions and five criminal history points making this offense a presumptive commit to the Department of Corrections.
The Defendant is currently in custody in Hennepin County for a conditional release violation and therefore for all of those reasons the State is requesting this complaint issue as a warrant.
