At around 11:30 PM on April 4, 2026, officers were sent to the apartment building at [ADDRESS REDACTED] South, St. Paul, Ramsey County on a domestic assault. Officers arrested ALONZO WEAVER [DOB REDACTED] in the apartment building’s front lobby. Officers spoke to AN [DOB REDACTED] who said she lived with Weaver in an apartment at the building for a period of time. AN moved out and no longer lived with Weaver. Earlier in the evening, AN was at a friend’s apartment in the same building where she lived with Weaver.
Weaver kept coming by asking to talk to AN. AN’s friend opened the apartment door to tell Weaver to go away. Weaver pushed his way into the apartment, and he was angry and aggressive. Weaver grabbed AN by her collar and tried to pull her from her chair. AN’s friend called police and Weaver left. Weaver immediately returned to AN’s friend’s apartment when police left after the first incident. A few hours passed, and AN decided to leave her friend’s apartment. AN opened the door and Weaver jumped out of nowhere.
Weaver yelled, “I got you, bitch. I’m gonna kill you.” AN retreated into the apartment, and Weaver chased her around the table. Weaver tried to throw a chair at AN, but AN’s friend stopped him. AN saw Weaver had a kitchen knife in his back pocket. Weaver left again when 911 was called. AN old police she thinks Weaver will harm her if given the chance. She said his behavior has gotten worse every day since March 6, 2026. AN said Weaver had sent her several voice messages threatening to kill her. Weaver declined a custodial statement.
AN's friend told police Weaver let himself into her apartment, chased AN around, choked AN, and threatened to kill AN. Weaver has 2 prior qualified domestic violence -related offense convictions within the past 10 years: On January 5, 2022, Weaver was sentenced on a felony DANCO violation in Ramsey County District Court file 62-CR-21-5032; and On January 5, 2022, Weaver was sentenced on a misdemeanor DANCO violation in Ramsey County District Court file 62-CR-21-849. AN was the protected party in both those convictions.
