In April 2026, a sex-trafficking operation was conducted by the Rochester Police Department in Rochester, MN, Olmsted County. Online advertisements were created that advertised a female offering sexual act or services in exchange for money. The ads were for “in-call” only, which means that a buyer will come to a specific location. The ads also specified that it would be $150 for a half hour and $250 for an hour. These ads were posed on websites that are known to be utilized by people seeking to purchase sex.
The buyers message a phone number that is provided on the ad to arrange for the sexual act/service. Chatting began on April 2, 2026. A undercover chatter (“UC”) would wait for someone initiate messaging them. As people were messaging the number on the ad, detectives were identifying the person who sent the message. DONDI RAY HANSON [DOB REDACTED] was identified as sending the UC messages. He initiated conversation with the UC and initiated a sexual conversation in which there was an agreement for a full hour of in-call services with the UC, in exchange for $250. In-call means that Hanson would come to the UC's location.
The ad listed services such as full service, which is any sexual act the buyer wants to engage in. No legitimate services, such as a massage were advertised. Hanson agreed to meet the UC at a specific place in Rochester. During the chat, the UC held themselves out to be younger than 18 years old and older than 16, Hanson still agreed to exchange money for a sex act with the UC. The ad contained photos of a female that were similar to a teenage female. When Hanson arrived he was detained. On his person were 3 condoms and $250 in cash.
