On May 21, 2026, at approximately 11:11 P.M., police responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. The caller reported that her child’s father made threats over the phone to come to her house with other people and shoot it up. Police met with KLW, who told police that her son’s father, GLENN DARIUS HAZZARD, JR. – [DOB REDACTED], yelled at their shared son, CW – age 11, about calling him when he could not text back. CW told KLW, who reached out to HAZZARD and began a back and forth phone call argument.
KLW advised that HAZZARD would call, scream at her, then hang up quickly. KLW called him back. KLW estimated that there were 13 phone calls between them. During one of the calls, KLW reported that HAZZARD told her that he would bring his pole (gun) over and said that he would bring his friend and sister over to jump her. KLW asked HAZZARD if he would do that with kids in the house, and HAZZARD responded, “You better move the kids then.” KLW told police she thought he was referring to coming over and shooting her when he made that statement.
KLW reported that she felt frightened by these statements due to the long history of domestic abuse between them and said HAZZARD was physical with her before CW was born. KLW stated that she separated herself from HAZZARD due to all the threats he had been making. KLW reported that she moved back to Minnesota in July, and things had gotten much worse since then. KLW advised that this was one of the times she was most frightened by HAZZARD. KLW told police that HAZZARD has a semi- automatic handgun similar to a Glock and saw him with it in March.
CW told police that he heard the conversation between HAZZARD and KLW because it was on speakerphone and also felt scared. Police issued a pick up and hold for HAZZARD, but as of this writing, he has not been apprehended. In a follow-up statement on May 26, KLW told the investigator that she has not had any further contact with HAZZARD since the initial report, but his family told her that the police stopped at his job looking for him. KLW expressed concern for her safety because HAZZARD now knows that she filed a police report, and HAZZARD went to prison for assaulting a former girlfriend who filed charges on him.
KLW said that she tried to petition for an Order for Protection, but the system errored on her, and she has been unable to get an in person appointment. HAZZARD has the following domestic violence related offense convictions: Felony DANCO Violation in Dakota County District Court File No. 19HA-CR-20-2806 on August 2, 2021. Felony HRO Violation in Dakota County District Court File No. 19HA-CR-14-1307 on April 6, 2015. In addition, HAZZARD has the following felony convictions: Possession of a Firearm by an Ineligible Person (2023), Simple Robbery (2018), and Theft (2013; 2012; 2010). HAZZARD has five or more prior felony convictions, and this present offense is a felony that was committed as part of a pattern of criminal conduct.
