On December 20, 2025, around 2113 hours, a trooper was stationed on S I-94 at Broadway in Hennepin County, Minnesota, when he heard the loud sound of a crash. He looked over and saw a sedan traveling on rims and/or dragging something. The trooper aired his observations, and nearby troopers responded. Another trooper encountered the suspect vehicle nearby on Dowling Avenue as it exited I-94. He observed the car to be driving on the left rear rim with the tire completely missing and damage to the left rear quarter panel.
The trooper observed the suspect vehicle to be occupied by a lone driver with dark hair possibly of Asian or Hispanic descent. The driver was later identified as TEYVION LITHOMAS ROBINSON [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. The trooper activated his siren to pull the Defendant over. The Defendant failed to stop for the lights or siren. The Defendant continued driving at slow speeds for about 6 blocks without stopping. The trooper was finally able to force the suspect vehicle to stop by slowly boxing it in.
The trooper then exited the squad and gave verbal commands to the Defendant to stop the engine and place his hands out the window to which he complied. Troopers took Defendant into custody and learned he had an outstanding warrant. In a post-Miranda interview, Defendant said he did not know what he hit, but he claimed to know something fell off his car on the ramp to Dowling. He also said he knew an officer was behind him, but he did not pull over in response to lights and sirens because he wanted to get to his mom’s house.
He said, "I realized you were probably trying to pull me over." Defendant is currently in custody.
