Beginning on 9/22/25, Maplewood Police began investigating the fraudulent use of a credit card that had been stolen along with a Silverado truck and a trailer. Based on CCTV footage of the credit card transactions that occurred in Maplewood, Ramsey County, police positively identified the suspect as Tommy Michael SPACK Jr. [DOB REDACTED]. See 62-CR-25-7401. On 10/02/2025, Maplewood Police went to [ADDRESS REDACTED] N in North St Paul, Ramsey County where SPACK and his mother, NCS, live. There, they found SPACK asleep in the driver’s seat of a 2008 maroon Cadillac DTS (MN/BZP 657) and arrested him.
During a search incident to arrest, police found suspected methamphetamine in his pocket. The substance later tested positive for methamphetamine with a net weight of 1.365 grams. With SPACK’s permission and NCS’ permission, police searched the residence and detached garage. During the search, police found stolen electronics, mail, identification, and credit cards belonging to other people, phones, and a 1992 Black Harley Davidson motorcycle with its VIN number removed. Auto thieves commonly remove a VIN number in order to thwart law enforcement efforts to identify it.
With assistance from the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NCIB), which keeps information on vehicle shipping records, secondary VIN locations, and other identifying features, the Maplewood Investigator determined that the Harley’s VIN number was 1HD1BKL17NY020493 and that it had been reported stolen out of Minneapolis on 5/27/25. NCS told police that the motorcycle had been there for a month or two and that SPACK and his friend would often work on it together. In a post-Miranda interview, SPACK said the stolen motorcycle belonged to his friend and that the meth in his pocket was just a small amount.
