On 01/24/2026 at 09:22, Prior Lake Police Officer were dispatched to Mystic Lake Casino, Prior Lake, Scott County, Minnesota, for a report of narcotics found in a wallet. Mystic lake Security reported that the wallet was found by a slot machine employee at 0902 hours and was brought to the security podium. A security officer looked in the wallet to attempt to locate an identification when they located the suspected narcotics. The security officer called the casino's dispatch center and Supervisor Wennerstom responded to the security podium and took possession of the wallet.
The wallet and suspected narcotics were brought to the security office and they called PLPD. The suspect, later identified as Pernetha Latoya White, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant, went to the security podium looking for her wallet and Wennerstom met with her and brought her to the security office. At the scene, officers were told the suspect's wallet was turned into the security podium and suspected narcotics were located in the wallet by security. Officers spoke with the Defendant in the hallway, and she admitted to the officer of making a “mistake” and being in possession of a fine white powder.
She did not admit to what it was but stated it was hers. Officers opened the wallet's side pocket and located two small plastic bags that contained a white substance, which field tested positive for cocaine, a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and weighed 2.0 and.4 grams respectively. Mystic Lake Security Supervisor Wennerstrom told the officer the wallet was found by a slot machine employee at 0902 hours and was brought to the security podium. A security officer looked in the wallet to attempt to locate an identification when they located the suspected narcotics.
The officer took possession of the evidence. The Defendant was arrested for possession of narcotics and taken to the Scott County Jail. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
