On December 13, 2025, Eden Prairie Police Officers were dispatched for a reported domestic assault that occurred earlier that morning at [ADDRESS REDACTED], Eden Prairie, Hennepin County. Officers arrived and spoke to an adult female, hereinafter "Victim." She stated she got into a verbal argument with her husband, GRANT MICHAEL DAFFIN, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant." While they were fighting, one of their children came nearby. At this point, Defendant grabbed her arms and pushed her into a bedroom.
She believed he did this so that their child would not see them fighting. When she was thrown into the room, she fell and struck her head on a bed frame. Victim suffered a laceration on her head which required seven stitches. Victim also sustained bruising to her arms. Officers spoke with the Defendant. He said that he got into a verbal argument with Victim [NAME REDACTED]. They headed upstairs and their child [NAME REDACTED]. They were outside of his room, and he did not want their child [NAME REDACTED]. He instinctively reached out and grabbed Victim's forearms to pull her in for a hug.
As he grabbed her arms to hug her, she fell backwards into the bedroom and hit her head on the corner of a bed frame. Defendant was placed under arrest and brought to the Hennepin County Jail where he remains in custody.
