At approximately 8 P.M. On or about 4/25/2025, Minneapolis police responded to a domestic abuse complaint at a residence on the 2200 block of Fillmore Street NE, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, the officers met with an adult female victim who reported that her ex-boyfriend with whom she had a romantic relationship for approximately 3 months, JOSHUA ALLEN BAKER (Defendant), had assaulted her. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had broken up with Defendant approximately a month prior when she discovered that he was required to register as a predatory offender.
Defendant came to her residence on 4/25/2025 and told Victim he needed help because he had overdosed. Victim [NAME REDACTED] into her residence, at which point Defendant became angry that Victim had reported Defendant’s recent contact with minor children to his parole officer, as Defendant was prohibited from having contact with minors. According to Victim, [NAME REDACTED] at her and pushed her to the ground. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was aggressive towards her and wanted her to change her statement she gave Defendant’s parole officer.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] was afraid of Defendant and showed Defendant a new email to his parole officer, at which point Defendant left the residence. Defendant was convicted of Criminal Sex Conduct-4th Degree (••-CR-••-••••) and felony Threats of Violence (••-CR-••-••••) on or about 1/11/2018. Defendant is not in custody.
