On July 23, 2025, at approximately 2:46 P.M., Deputy Mike Cowan of the Itasca County Sheriff's Office responded to the Court Administration window in the Itasca County Courthouse to speak with J. M. G. J. M. G. Wanted to report a string of voice text messages that he had received from Joseph Delmor Julien Jr during December of 2024. The messages began at 3:59 A.M. On December 23, 2024. The first message indicated that Julien wanted to go over to J. M. G.'s residence [in Itasca County] and pick up "Jackie's" belongings.
Julien tells J. M. G. That if he sees him at the residence he will "f*** him up." Julien then stated, "do you understand me, boy. I can forget about this with some time but you need to be gone or you're going to be gone." Julien also implied that if J. M. G. Were home, he would hit him in the face with a baseball bat. Julien sent J. M. G. Five more voice texts through 11:09 A.M. That morning. The messages indicate that Julien will drag J. M. G.'s ass out of his house and f*** his world up if he is home.
He also tells J. M. G. That he has an awakening coming and that if he is asleep, he will be awakened with a baseball bat. He also tells J. M. G. That "s*** is going to break loose." On December 24, 2024, Julien left J. M. G. Three more messages between 1:00 P.M. And 2:30 P.M. The first message instructs J. M. G. As follows: "get the s*** out of the camper you stupid m***********" (Julien is yelling during the message). The second message from Julien states, "I am going to f*** you up John. You have serious problems now buddy." The third message from Julien states, sent two text messages saying to [J. M. G.] that J. M. G. Is going to be in the hospital or jail.
When Deputy Cowan asked J. M. G. Why he had waited so long to report the messages, J. M. G. Indicated that he "did not want to deal with it." PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
