On November 19, 2025 at approximately 10:38 P.M., Austin Police department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of 2nd Avenue SW in the City of Austin, County of Mower for a report of an assault. The reporting party, Victim A (an adult male), told dispatch that he was punched in the face by two men. One of the men also threatened him with a knife. Austin Police Department Officer Aiden O’Harra arrived on scene and spoke with Victim A. Victim A stated one of the males was CHRISTOPHER NATHANIEL EASLEY, [DOB redacted], and the other was a white male not known to Victim A. Victim A also told Officer O’Harra that Easley’s girlfriend, Witness 1 (an adult female), also was present but not involved in the altercation.
Victim A stated he confronted EASLEY and the white male, who was later identified as JACOB MICHAEL TURVEY, [DOB redacted], hereinafter the defendant. Victim A did so because he knew EASLEY was trespassed from the residence and told him to leave. Victim A also told EASLEY and the defendant that he would call police. Victim A said that EASLEY got agitated, yelling at Victim A and “getting in his face.” At some point, EASLEY punched Victim A on the left side of his face with a closed fist. Officer O’Harra observed that Victim A had red marks under his left eye.
Victim A said that after EASLEY punched him, the defendant also punched him on the left side of the face with a closed fist. The defendant then pulled out a silver handled flip pocketknife and said to Victim A “You see this?” Victim A said he believed the defendant’s intent was to threaten him. Victim A said the three entered an upstairs apartment which was rented, however the renters were in the process of moving out. Austin Police Department Officer Joshua Bradley, Officer Brady Johnson, and Lt. Mike Hartman arrived on scene, and officers knocked on the door of the apartment, which was slightly ajar, and gave commands to anyone inside to exit.
No one answered, so they then searched the stairwell and basement, finding nothing of note. Officer Bradley cleared the scene and drove around the area, searching for the suspects. While checking the laundromat on 1st Avenue SW, Officer Bradley observed two people walking around the north side of the building. Officer Bradley drove over and observed Witness 1 walking south and two other people across the street leaving in different directions. Officer Bradley pulled over and spoke with Witness 1 who advised she had been walking with “Jake Turvey.” Officer Bradley asked what they had been doing at the apartment in the 1000 block of 2nd Avenue SW, and Witness 1 said she and the defendant went there to get a bag of her belongings.
Witness 1 said she brought the defendant there to help retrieve her bag because she was trespassed from the residence. When asked if there was an altercation between the defendant and Victim A, she said she could hear them yelling and arguing with each other but was unable to see if anything physical happened. Officer Bradley confirmed with dispatch that EASLEY and Witness 1 were trespassed from the residence. Officer Bradley asked Witness 1 when she last saw EASLEY, and she advised she hadn’t seen him since approximately 1:30 P.M. That afternoon.
